Live Races are Back

Did you hear? Live races are back!! At least a few are. New protocols, new limits and new start wave times. The chance to run a race in person is one I couldn’t pass up. Since moving to Washington, I have to find all new races. On May 30th I plan to run the Coeur d’Alene Half Marathon! I’m excited and nervous for a few reasons. This will be my first in-person race and first half marathon since having Olivia in November. It’ll also be interesting to see how they run the race during COVID. I believe the race is doing everything they can to protect runners and I also believe exercise outside is important. I’m excited that the race and the state of Idaho has decided this is a race that can be run live.

Multiple Distances

You can run the full marathon, half marathon, 10k or 5k. You can run IN PERSON (yes, you heard me right!) or virtually. I can’t wait to finally be on a race course. It is motivating me more than ever to train hard. The race course is following local COVID guidelines and will be offering staggered starts for all distances and runners. You know they care about putting on a great event and your safety.

Swag

This race has some awesome perks! You get a finisher shirt, medal, finisher food and other awesome swag! I love adding to my medal collection and can’t wait to add another in-person, live event medal to my medal wall.

Training

This will be my first race and first time running and training after having baby Olivia three months ago. I am excited to see how my running and fitness improves over the next few months. I’m also interested to see how both kids do during all those stroller miles. Any mamas out there have tips for running and training for a race with kiddos?

I’m planning to share parts of my training journey with you both here and on my social media channels. Let me know if you sign up for the race, I’d love to follow along with your training and cheer you to the finish line.

Discount

Saving money is important and that is why I am giving you a sweet discount code for 15% off the race entry fee! Just enter code: BIBRAVE15 when you sign-up.
